JennyrisJennyris began practicing yoga regularly in 2010, in search of a routine that would help her to focus and relax; and almost instantly realized she wanted to teach. After getting certified for vinyasa flow with Stephanie Keach, she began teaching in January of 2011. Her passion for yoga and the constant desire to learn new things is what drives her to share yoga with others.
WendyWendy graduated from the University of Louisville’s Speed Scientific School with a Bachelor Degree in Engineering Math and Computer Science. She worked in the corporate world for ten years as a software developer for IBM Corp. and Humana Inc. Currently, she lives in Palm Harbor with her husband and three beautiful children!
For the last twenty years, Wendy has been very active in the fitness community. She enjoys all the benefits of exercising in order to stay both active and healthy. One of her past time favorite activities was Cardio Kickboxing, which led her to the study of martial arts. She studied Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido for six years. She earned a black belt in both of these respective arts. Of all the physical activities she partakes in, the two the she enjoys the most are running and practicing Hot Yoga. With many weeks of intensive training for marathons and running events, she discovered that Hot Yoga is an amazing form of personal fitness and therapy. She became a certified Hot Yoga instructor in April of 2008. Since then, she has been teaching Hot Yoga at various Yoga Studios in the Tampa Bay area.
Hot Yoga is a dynamic and energetic form of exercise practiced in a spacious heated room. It consists of a series of postures to help align your body, strengthen your spine, build core strength, increase cardiovascular and muscular endurance. If you are looking to obtain personal fitness or to lose those extra pounds, Hot Yoga will help to achieve your goal as quick as two weeks, depending on the frequency of your practice. Kim“Kaj” is a lifetime multiple-sport athlete which includes a collegiate career in volleyball at Arizona State University, “GO Sun Devils!” Beyond team sports, she is also a competitive triathlete, adventure racer, runner, and tennis champion. She is a member of the faculty at the Straz Performing Arts center in Tampa where her students are semi-professional athletes striving for performance greatness.
Kaj’s classes are built on the practices of Yoga, Total Body Conditioning, Stretch, Strength Training, Aquatic fitness, and Pilates. Kim is a graduate of ASU in Tempe, Arizona with a degree in Psychology and is currently in the Masters program at the University of South Florida studying Exercise Science. Her fitness credentials consists of 200 hours of comprehensive instruction in Ashtanga–based Yoga, Fitour Pilates, AFAA Group Exercise certified Instructor, and is an ISFTA Certified Personal Trainer.
Beyond training and teaching, Kim enjoys spending time being outdoors, mountain biking, scuba diving, paddle boarding, sailing, and exploring far ends of the world.
RachelRachel has been passionate about fitness almost all her life having started dancing at age 5. By the age of 21 she auditioned for a professional choreography team and became a professional dancer in New York City with BLADE Dance Entertainment. While there, Rachel not only performed but studied physiology, anatomy, kinesiology, dance theory, creation of choreography and maintained her athletic requirements. This started her passion to teach others not only how to dance but how to stay healthy and fit. She began her physical training career in 2007 receiving a certification with the National Council of Certified Personal Trainers (NCCPT) in Hollywood. Continuing her studies she earned Level I & II certifications from International Kettlebell Fitness Federation (IKFF) in Vegas 2008 then American Council of Exercise (ACE) in Tampa 2010. By 2011 she earned 200 hours of Yoga training with Yoga Alliance as well as became a silver sneakers instructor. It is obvious Rachel is dedicated in continuing her studies with the newest scientific methods in exercise and nutrition providing each one of her clients and students with the knowledge necessary to have active, healthy and happy lives.
